GARY HART (Gary Warren Hart / Gary W. Hart, 1936)  US-amerikanischer Politiker, Diplomat und Jurist. 1984 kandidierte er für die demokratische Präsidentschaftsnominierung und wurde Zweiter hinter Walter Mondale; 1988 kandidierte er erneut für die Nominierung und galt zunächst als Favorit, zog sich aber schließlich aufgrund von Enthüllungen über außereheliche Affären zurück. Von 1975 bis 1987 vertrat er Colorado im US-Senat. / American politician, diplomat, and lawyer. In 1984, he ran for the Democratic presidential nomination, finishing as the runner-up to Walter Mondale; he ran again for the nomination in 1988, and was initially considered the front-runner, but eventually dropped out amid revelations of extramarital affairs. He represented Colorado in the United States Senate from 1975 to 1987.
