PAKISTAN

MOHAMMAD AYUB KHAN (1907-74) pakistanischer Offizier, Politiker und Präsident. Er war der jüngste General und (selbsternannte) Feldmarschall in Pakistans militärischer Geschichte. Er war ebenso der erste pakistanische Militär, der die Macht durch einen Putsch übernahm. / Pakistani army officer, Field Marshal and military dictator who served as the second president of Pakistan from 1958 until his resignation in 1969. He was the first native commander-in-chief of the Pakistan Army, serving from 1951 to 1958.
